Therefore, we are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented Telecommunications/Network Cable Technician to join our team.
This individual will be responsible for the installation of Network Cabling, Terminations, and Testing throughout a wide array of projects and clients.
The proposed location of work is throughout MA and NH.
Job Description Network Cabling Technicians install, pull, splice, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, such as CAT5E, CAT6, CAT 6A low voltage cables.
They mount telecom equipment while adhering to best practices, industry standards, and manufacturer requirements to include data racks with patch panels and switches, cable tray systems, j-hooks, EMT conduits, etc.
They should also choose and verify cable pathways, maintain all documents related to cabling infrastructure, carry out the installation of cable supports, and pulling network cables.
Installations will be completed with testing and troubleshooting of all installations using a Fluke Network Testing Tool.
Position Requirements Experience with installation of low voltage and fiber optic cable Ability to install cable pathways such as EMT Conduit, Cable Tray, and J Hooks Experience running CAT 5E and CAT 6 cabling.
Experience terminating and testing of CAT 5E and CAT 6 Cabling.
Ability to work from a step ladder and scissor lift.
Ability to be a leader and provide direction and oversight of additional installers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; especially Word and Excel Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management.
